On October 29, 2021, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) held a ceremony to announce and hand over the SBV Governor’s Appointment Decision of Deputy Director of Department I of the Banking Supervision Agency.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Doan Thai Son, Member of the Personnel Board of the Party Committee, SBV Deputy Governor, together with representatives of the Central Bank Party Committee, the Organization and Personnel Department, leaders of the Banking Supervision Agency and the key officials of Department I.
At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy Director General of the Organization and Personnel Department, announced Decision No. 1681/QD-NHNN dated October 26, 2021 of the SBV Governor appointing Ms. Vu Thuy Ngoc as Deputy Director of Department I of the Banking Supervision Agency, starting from November 1, 2021. Ms. Vu Thuy Ngoc was previously Head of the Division of Micro Management and Supervision of State Commercial Banks under the Department of Banking Supervision (Department I) of the Banking Supervision Agency. Her term of office is five years, starting from the date of appointment.

On behalf of the SBV Governor, Deputy Governor Doan Thai Son handed over the Appointment Decision to and congratulated Ms. Vu Thuy Ngoc on her new position. The SBV Deputy Governor expressed his wishes and beliefs that, in her new position, together with the other leaders of Department I, Ms. Vu Thuy Ngoc would further develop her wisdom, capabilities and experience to counsel and assist the leadership of the Banking Supervision Agency as well as the SBV.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Vu Thuy Ngoc expressed her deep gratitude to the Personnel Board of the Party Committee and the SBV Board of Management for their trust. She affirmed that she would do her best, together with all officers of the Banking Supervision Agency, with the utmost capacity, wisdom and enthusiasm, in order to accomplish the assigned tasks, contributing to the development of the banking sector.
