On March 22, 2023, the Organization and Personnel Department under the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), together with the Banking Times, held a ceremony to announce and hand over the SBV Governor’s Decision on the appointment of Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Banking Times.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Dao Minh Tu, First Deputy Governor of the SBV; Mr. Le Van Khanh, First Deputy Head of the Organization Board of the Central Bank’s Party Committee; Mr. Dang Duy Cuong, Deputy Director General of the Organization and Personnel Department.
On the side of the Banking Times, there was Mrs. Hoang Thanh Nhan, Editor-in-Chief; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hai, Deputy Editor-in-Chief; together with the key officials of the Banking Times.

At the ceremony, Mr. Dang Duy Cuong, Deputy Director General of the Organization and Personnel Department, announced Decision No. 368/QD-NHNN dated March 17, 2023 of the SBV Governor appointing Mr. Tran Trung Thuong as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Banking Times. His office tenure is five (05) years, starting from the date of appointment. Mr. Tran Trung Thuong was previously Head of the Administration Division under the Banking Times.

Speaking at the ceremony, SBV First Deputy Governor Dao Minh Tu congratulated Mr. Tran Trung Thuong on his new appointment, which reflected the trust of the Personnel Board of the SBV’s Party Committee and the SBV’s Board of Management. The Deputy Governor expressed his wishes and beliefs that, on the new position, Mr. Tran Trung Thuong, with his experience, together with all of the officers and staff of the Banking Times, would accomplish the assigned tasks. He hoped the Banking Times would promote their solidarity, bringing the newspaper to the next development stage and accomplishing its role as the official newspaper of the banking industry.

In his speech, Mr. Tran Trung Thuong, the newly appointed Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Banking Times, expressed his deep gratitude to the Personnel Board of the SBV’s Party Committee, the SBV’s Board of Management for their trust. He affirmed that the leaders of the Banking Times, together with all of its officials and staff, would promote the spirit of solidarity, overcome all challenges and develop the Banking Times sustainably.
