The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) jointly organized the first Coordination Meeting of “Strengthening Capacity of SBV in Printing Ink Production” Project funded by the JICA in Hanoi on October 7. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Governor Dao Minh Tu.
Attending the meeting were Mr. Mutsuya Mori, JICA Vietnam Chief Representative; Mr. Naoki Kakioka, JICA Vietnam Vice Chief Representative; Mr. Kazuhiro Hiwatashi, Chief Advisor of the Project; Mr. Nguyen Van Toan, Chairman of the Boar of Members of Vietnam National Min; and representatives from relevant entities…
On behalf of the SBV Management Board, Deputy Governor Dao Minh Tu expressed his sincere thanks to JICA for supporting the SBV over the past years in almost important fields such as human resource development in monetary policy making and implementing; inspection and supervision; restructuring in banking sector; vaulting and printing ink production. For the Strengthening Capacity of SBV in Printing Ink Production Project, he highly appreciated the Project and acknowledged the value and performance of passionate and experienced specialists of JICA, who formulated and implemented the Project in a professional manner.
At the meeting, representative from Vietnam National Mint briefed of the Project implementation situation. Accordingly, training activities combining theory have provided importantly basic knowledge and practical experience, thereby helping the SBV officials initially know how to prepare for researching and producing printing ink in laboratory in the next period of the Project.
Moreover, Chief Advisor Kazuhiro Hiwatashi presented action plan of the Project in 2015 and 2016, which was discussed and approved by the two sides also at the meeting.
Closing the meeting, Deputy Governor Dao Minh Tu expressed his agreement with the action plan of the Project from now to end 2015 and in 2016, at the same time, he request the Project Management Board and JICA specialist to continue closely coordinating and exchanging information in order to effectively implement important activities of the Project and obtain set results.
