According to the General Statistics Office of Vietnam (GSO), the consumer price index (CPI) increases by 0.11% in October against the previous month, and by 0.51% as compared to that of December, 2014.

Specifically, the price of seven groups of commodities out of eleven groups of commodities slightly increases. The price of the group of garments, textiles, hats and footwear registers the highest increase of 0.2%. The price of the group of food and catering services increases by 0.19%, of which the price of food decreases by 0.17%, the price of foodstuff and dinning-out service increases by 0.34% and 0.01% respectively. The price of the groups of family equipment and appliances; beverage and cigarette; other commodities and services; and education increases by 0.12%, 0.11%, 0.1%, 0.05% respectively. The price of the group of medicine and health services registers the lowest increase of 0.01%.
Out of four groups of commodities, the price of the group of culture, entertainment and tourism registeres the highest decrease of 0.06%; the price of the groups of postal services and transport declines by 0.03% and 0.05% respectively. The price of the group of housing and construction materials slightly decreases by 0.01%.
The gold price is down by 0.05%; and VND appreciates by 0.16% against the US dollar.
