The consumer price index (CPI) in September 2025 increased by 0.42% against that of August 2025, mainly due to the price hikes in education services at private schools, as well as the increases in the prices of food and housing maintenance materials. The CPI of September 2025 rose by 2.61% as compared to that of December 2024, and up by 3.38% against the same month last year. The average CPI in Q3 of 2025 increased by 3.27% as compared to the same period of 2024. On average, for nine months of 2025, the CPI rose by 3.27% as compared to the same period of 2024, while the core inflation increased by 3.19%.

The consumer price index (CPI) in June 2025 increased by 0.48% against that of May 2025, due to the increases in the prices of the subgroups of rental properties, construction materials, and the increase in the domestic fuel prices due to the rising crude oil prices. The CPI of June 2025 increased by 2.02% as compared to that of December 2024, and up by 3.57% against the same month last year.

According to the General Statistics Office of Vietnam (GSO), the consumer price index (CPI) in July 2023 increased by 0.45% against that of June 2023, up by 1.13% as compared to that of December 2022, and up by 2.06% in comparison with that of the same period last year. For seven months of 2023, the average CPI rose by 3.12% over the same time period of 2022.
