Press release on issuance of Circular No. 22/2024/TT-NHNN
Hanoi, June 28, 2024 – The Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) has issued Circular No. 22/2024/TT-NHNN amending and supplementing a number of Articles of Circular No. 50/2018/TT-NHNN dated December 31, 2018 of the SBV Governor stipulating the dossiers, sequences and procedures for requesting approval of a number of revised substances by the commercial banks and the foreign bank branches.
The new Circular is composed of 04 Articles, specifically as follows:
Article 1: Comprising of 16 Paragraphs amending and supplementing a number of Articles of Circular 50/2028/TT-NHNN of the SBV Governor stipulating the dossiers, sequences and procedures for requesting approval of a number of revised substances by the commercial banks and the foreign bank branches, including: the means of application by the commercial banks and foreign bank branches; the approving authority for the revised substances requested by the commercial banks and the foreign bank branches; the required dossiers for an increase of the charter capital of a joint stock commercial bank.
Article 2: Comprising of 5 Articles replacing, abolishing a number of phrases and Paragraphs of Circular 50/2018/TT-NHNN.

The new Circular takes effect from July 1, 2024.
