According to the General Statistics Office of Vietnam (GSO), the consumer price index (CPI) increases by 0.48% in November against the previous month, and by 4.58% as compared to that of December, 2015.
Specifically, the price of the transport group registers the highest increase of 1.63%. The price of the group of medicine and health services increases by 0.9% (of which the price of health services rises by 1.15%); the price of the group of food and catering services increases by 0.49% (of which the price of food, foodstuff and dinning – out services increases by 0.22%, 0.71% and 0.09% respectively); the price of housing and construction materials rises by 0.49%.
The price of other groups such as garments, textiles, hats and footwear; other commodities and services; family equipment and appliances; beverage and cigarette; culture, entertainment and tourism increases by 0.24%, 0.13%, 0.1%, 0.05% and 0.03% respectively. The price of the group of education is unchanged. The price of the group of postal services declines by 0.02%.
The gold price is down by 0.12%; and VND depreciates by 0.22% against the US dollar.
