On April 4, 2025, in Hanoi, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) organized a ceremony to announce and hand over the SBV Governor’s Decision appointing Ms. Hoang Thi Phuong Hanh as Acting Director General of the SBV International Cooperation Department.

The ceremony was attended by SBV Deputy Governor Nguyen Ngoc Canh, representatives from the SBV’s Party Committee, the Human Resource Department, as well as officials and staff of the SBV International Cooperation Department.
At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy Director General of the SBV Human Resource Department, announced the SBV Governor’s Decision appointing Ms. Hoang Thi Phuong Hanh as Acting Director General of the SBV International Cooperation Department. Ms. Hoang Thi Phuong Hanh was previously Deputy Director General of the same Department. The Decision’s effectiveness starts from April 3, 2025 until the completion of the formal appointment of a new Director General of the SBV International Cooperation Department.
Under the authorization by the SBV Governor, Deputy Governor Nguyen Ngoc Canh handed over the Governor’s Decision to and congratulated Ms. Hoang Thi Phuong Hanh on her appointment, which reflected the recognition and the trust of the SBV’s Board of Management and the Personnel Board of the SBV’s Party Committee for Ms. Hanh’s qualities.

The SBV Deputy Governor expressed his hope that Ms. Hoang Thi Phuong Hanh, on her new position, would continue to uphold her sense of responsibility and the spirit of solidarity to successfully accomplish all assigned tasks, contributing to the general banking operations, as well as the country's economic development in the coming time.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Hoang Thi Phuong Hanh expressed her deep appreciation to the Personnel Board of the SBV’s Party Committee, the SBV Board of Management, and Deputy Governor Nguyen Ngoc Canh personally for their trust.
