On January 5, 2026, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) organized a ceremony to announce and hand over the SBV Governor’s Appointment Decision of Deputy Director General the Central Banking Department.

The ceremony was attended by SBV Deputy Governor Pham Thanh Ha, representatives of the SBV entities, and all of the officials of the Central Banking Department.
Mr. Do Trong Toan, Deputy Director General of the Human Resource Department
At the ceremony, Mr. Do Trong Toan, Deputy Director General of the Human Resource Department, announced the SBV Governor’s Decision appointing Ms. Nguyen Thi Van as Deputy Director General of the Central Banking Department. Her office tenure is five (05) years, starting from January 5, 2026. Ms. Nguyen Thi Van was previously Head of the Accounting Division of the Central Banking Department.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the SBV Governor, Deputy Governor Pham Thanh Ha congratulated Ms. Nguyen Thi Van on her appointment, which reflected the SBV leadership’s trust in her capabilities and contributions. Deputy Governor Pham Thanh Ha handed over the SBV’s Appointment Decision to Ms. Nguyen Thi Van and expressed his hope and beliefs that Ms. Nguyen Thi Van would continue to develop her capacity, wisdom, experience, and her sense of responsibility to accomplish the assigned tasks in her newly appointed position.
