On May 17, 2023, in Hanoi, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) held a ceremony to announce and hand over the SBV Governor’s Appointment Decision of Deputy Director General of the International Cooperation Department under the SBV.
The ceremony was attended by SBV Deputy Governor Pham Thanh Ha, representatives from the Central Bank Party Committee, the Organization and Personnel Department, as well as other leaders, the key officials and all of the staff of the International Cooperation Department.
At the ceremony, Mr. Le Viet Hung, Deputy Director General of the Organization and Personnel Department, announced the SBV Governor’s Appointment Decision No. 908/QD-NHNN dated May 15, 2023 appointing Mrs. Vu Minh Chau as Deputy Director General of the International Cooperation Department under the SBV, starting from May 15, 2023. Mrs. Vu Minh Chau was previously Head of the Division for Multilateral Cooperation under the International Cooperation Department. Her office tenure is five (05) years, starting from the date of appointment.

On behalf of the SBV Governor, Deputy Governor Pham Thanh Ha handed over the Appointment Decision to and congratulated Mrs. Vu Minh Chau on her new appointment, which had reflected the trust of the Personnel Board of the SBV’s Party Committee and the SBV’s Board of Management in Mrs. Vu Minh Chau’s contributions.
The Deputy Governor expressed his wishes and beliefs that, Mrs. Vu Minh Chau would continue to promote her qualities, qualifications and capacity in order to accomplish the assigned tasks, contributing to the development of the International Cooperation Department in particular and the SBV in general.

In her speech, Mrs. Vu Minh Chau expressed her deep gratitude to the Personnel Board of the SBV’s Party Committee, the SBV’s Board of Management, and all of the officials and staff of the International Cooperation Department for their trust. She asserted that she would always put her best efforts into her work, for the collective successes, and to accomplish the tasks assigned by the SBV’s Board of Management.
The newly appointed Deputy Director General of the International Cooperation Department also affirmed that she would continue to improve her capabilities and intellectual capacity, never stop improving herself, promote the solidarity within the Department, together with all of the officers and staff of the International Cooperation Department contribute to the development of the banking sector toward sustainability and efficiency.
