On January 09, 2023, the Organization and Personnel Department under the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) together with the Banking Times held a ceremony to announce and hand over the SBV Governor’s Decision on the appointment of Editor-in-Chief of the Banking Times. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Dao Minh Tu, First Deputy Governor of the SBV.

The ceremony was attended by Mrs. Le Thi Mai Huong, Member of the Standing Committee, Director General of the Office of the Party Committee of the Central Bank; Mrs. Le Thi Thuy Sen, Director General of the Communication Department; Mrs. Kim Lan Anh, Deputy Director General of the Communication Department; Mr. Dang Duy Cuong, Deputy Director General of the Organization and Personnel Department; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hai, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Banking Times; together with the officers and the journalists of the Banking Times.
At the ceremony, Mr. Dang Duy Cuong, Deputy Director General of the Organization and Personnel Department, announced Decision No. 18/QD-NHNN dated January 05, 2023 mobilizing and appointing Mrs. Hoang Thanh Nhan as Editor-in-Chief of the Banking Times. Her office tenure is five (05) years, starting from the date of appointment. Mrs. Hoang Thanh Nhan was previously Deputy Director General of the Communication Department under the SBV.

Speaking at the ceremony, SBV First Deputy Governor Dao Minh Tu emphasized that, communication is one of the 6 key tasks of the SBV in order to ensure that the leaders of the Party, the State, the people and enterprises understand more about the banking operations. The Deputy Governor requested the Banking Times to focus its resources on fulfilling its role as the official newspaper of the banking sector, contributing to guiding the public opinion, helping its readers to understand about the mechanisms, policies and activities of the banking sector.

In her speech, Mrs. Hoang Thanh Nhan, the newly appointed Editor-in-Chief of the Banking Times, expressed her deep gratitude to the Personnel Board of the SBV’s Party Committee, the SBV’s Board of Management for their trust. She affirmed that she would put her best efforts into the work, together with all of the officers of the Banking Times, to promote the solidarity; develop, modernlize, innovate the newspaper; disseminate positive information about the banking sector to the public. The Banking Times would continue to innovate and improve the quality of both the paper and the electronic news in order to create a methodical and professional manner, and promote its role as the voice of the banking sector.
