On May 31, 2021, from Hanoi, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) held a virtual meeting to announce the SBV Governor’s Appointment Decisions of Directors of the SBV branches in Ha Giang and Ha Tinh provinces.
Attending the meeting at the SBV headquarters in Hanoi, there was SBV First Deputy Governor Dao Minh Tu and representatives of the Organization and Personnel Department and the SBV Office.
Participating virtually from Ha Giang, there was Mrs. Ha Thi Minh Hanh, Member of the Executive Board of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of Ha Giang Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Tue, Member of the Executive Board and First Deputy Head of the Organization Board of Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee; the Management Board and officials of the SBV Ha Giang branch.
Joining the meeting from Ha Tinh, there was Mr. Tran The Dzung, Member of the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee, First Deputy Secretary of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Vu Hong Hai, Member of the Standing Board and Head of the Organization Board of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hai, Member of the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee for the Public Agencies and Enterprises in Ha Tinh; the Management Board and officials of the SBV Ha Tinh branch.
At the meeting, Mr. Dang Duy Cuong, Deputy Director General of the SBV Organization and Personnel Department, announced Decision No. 898/QD-NHNN dated May 25, 2021 on the appointment of Mr. Nguyen Van Trung, Director of the BIDV Ky Anh branch, as Director of the SBV Ha Tinh branch; and Decision No. 899/QD-NHNN dated May 25, 2021 on the appointment of Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hai, Director of Agribank Ha Giang provincial branch, as Director of the SBV Ha Giang branch. The appointment terms for both positions are five (5) years, starting from June 1, 2021.

On behalf of the SBV Governor, First Deputy Governor Dao Minh Tu congratulated Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hai and Mr. Nguyen Van Trung on their new positions. The SBV Deputy Governor expressed his beliefs that Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hai and Mr. Nguyen Van Trung would continue to develop their capabilities, wisdom, experience, and the sense of responsibility to accomplish the assigned tasks in the newly appointed positions. In addition, as the heads responsible for managing all monetary and credit operations of the banking sector in their respective provinces, the newly appointed Directors would coordinate with other members in the Management Boards, the officials and employees of the SBV branches in the spirit of solidarity, joining efforts and sharing common determination to accomplish the assigned tasks, actively contributing to the strategies and tasks of socio-economic development of the two provinces in general, as well as to the development of the banking industry in the two provinces in particular. In addition, the two new Directors are also expected to manage and operate the monetary-credit operations in their respective provinces in a safe effective and efficient manner, continuing to consolidate and improve the performance of the credit institutions in their provinces.

Speaking at the ceremony, the newly appointed Directors expressed their deep gratitude to the SBV’s Board of Management and the Central Bank Party Committee for their trust. They affirmed that they would try their best with the highest sense of responsibility, together with all of the officials of the SBV branches in Ha Tinh and Ha Giang provinces to successfully accomplish the assigned tasks, contributing actively to the development of the banking sector and the provincial socio-economic development.
