SBV announces Appointment Decisions of senior officials of Agribank

The meeting was attended by Mr. Nguyen Duc Phong, First Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central State-owned Enterprises’ Bloc; Mr. Dao Minh Tu, Deputy Secretary of the Personnel Board of the SBV’s Party Committee, First Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV); Mr. Pham Duc An, Member of the Standing Body of the Party Committee of the Central State-owned Enterprises’ Bloc, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Members of Agribank; together with leaders and representatives of the Party Committee Central State-owned Enterprises’ Bloc, the SBV and Agribank, etc.

At the meeting, SBV First Deputy Governor Dao Minh Tu handed over the SBV Governor’s Appointment Decisions to the newly appointed officials, effective from December 01, 2022, specifically as follows:

Appointing Mr. Pham Toan Vuong as Member of the Board of Members, General Director of Agribank. Mr. Pham Toan Vuong was previously Deputy General Director in charge of the Executive Board of Agribank;

Appointing Mr. Nguyen Minh Phuong and Mr. Le Xuan Trung, Deputy General Directors of Agribank, as Members of the Board of Members of Agribank;

Mobilizing and appointing Mrs. Tu Thi Kim Thanh as Member of the Board of Members of Agribank. Mrs. Tu Thi Kim Thanh was previously Deputy Director General of the SBV Office.

Appointing Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung as Member of the Supervisory Board of Agribank. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung was previously General Director of Agribank Asset Management Company Limited.

Their office tenures are five (05) years, starting from the dates of appointments.

Also at the meeting, SBV First Deputy Governor Dao Minh Tu handed over the SBV Governor’s Decision re-appointing Mr. Nguyen Minh Tri as Member of the Board of Members of Agribank.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Phong, First Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central State-owned Enterprises’ Bloc, handed over the Decisions of the Party Committee of the Central State-owned Enterprises’ Bloc.

In addition, Mr. Nguyen Duc Phong, First Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central State-owned Enterprises’ Bloc, also handed over the Decisions of the Party Committee of the Central State-owned Enterprises’ Bloc, specifically as follows:

Approving Mr. Pham Toan Vuong, Member of the Standing Board, Chairman of the Inspection Board of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Members, General Director of Agribank, as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Agribank for the term from 2020 to 2025;

Approving Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thao, Member of the Executive Board of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Members, Chairwoman of the Human Resources Committee of Agribank, as Member of the Standing Board of the Party Committee of Agribank for the term from 2020 to 2025;

Appointing Mr. Tran Van Dzung, Member of the Board of Members of Agribank, and Mr. Nguyen Quang Hung, Deputy General Director of Agribank, as members of Agribank’s Party Committee for the term from 2020 to 2025.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Duc Phong, First Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central State-owned Enterprises’ Bloc, congratulated the newly appointed officials, and requested them to continue to promote their political competencies, capabilities and qualities in order to accomplish the assigned tasks.

On behalf of the Personnel Board of the SBV’s Party Committee and the SBV’s Board of Management, SBV First Deputy Governor Dao Minh Tu expressed his wishes and beliefs that, the newly appointed officials would continue to promote the good traditions and the solidarity of Agribank to overcome all difficulties, implement effectively all solutions to achieve the business targets, focusing on the successful implementation of the socio-economic recovery and development program, the Restructuring Plan of Agribank for the period of 2021 - 2025 as directed by the Government and the SBV, implementing the procedures to increase the charter capital, and the equitization roadmap of Agribank, etc.

On behalf of the newly appointed officials, Mr. Pham Toan Vuong expressed the deep gratitude to the Standing Board of the Party Committee of the Central State-owned Enterprises’ Bloc, the Personnel Board of the SBV’s Party Committee, and the SBV’s Board of Management for their trust. He affirmed that, together with the all the leaders, officials and employees of Agribank, he would promote the solidarity, the good traditions and the achievements of Agribank in the past, overcome all difficulties, contributing to the stable development of Agribank to fulfill all assigned tasks in the new period.
