On October 26, 2023, in Hanoi, Vietnam Symposium in Banking and Finance 2023 (VSBF 2023) was co-organized by the Banking Academy and Vietnam Association of Scientists and Experts (AVSE) Global, with the support from the International Society for the Advancement of Financial Economics (ISAFE), L’École de Management Léonard de Vinci (EMLV) (France), and Massey University (New Zealand).
In his opening speech, Mr. Bui Huu Toan, Chairman of the Council of the Banking Academy, said that VSBF is aimed to become an ideal platform for regulators, managers, experts, and practitioners to exchange knowledge and experience on the current issues of the economy, including issues related to finance and banking sector. He also expressed his hope that the information and knowledge shared at VSBF 2023 would bring practical values to the regulators’ management of the central bank and the banking industry.

The two-day Symposium (held on October 26-27, 2023) was composed of 39 sessions, including 4 plenary sessions and 35 parallel sessions with 110 reports presented. During this time, the participants exchanged and discussed about financial and banking topics such as corporate governance, corporate finance, asset valuation and allocation, portfolio and risk management, behavioral finance, market efficiency, financial markets in emerging countries, sustainable finance, capital markets in the context of integration, financial connectivity and macro-economic, regulations of banking operations, Fintech, etc.
