The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) issued Decision No. 2283/QĐ-NHNN on October 30th, 2017 to revise License of Vietnam Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (VietBank).
Accordingly, the SBV Governor approved the revision of Item 1 Article 1 of Operation License No.2441/QĐ-NHNN issued by SBV on October 28th, 2008 granted to Vietnam Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank as follows: “Trading and providing foreign exchange services in the domestic and international market within the scope stipulated by the SBV”.
VietBank is responsible for: (i) Providing the mentioned-above services in compliance with applicable laws and other relevant regulations; (ii) Implementing procedures in line with Item 3 of Article 18b of Circular No. 40/2011/TT-NHNN dated December 15th, 2011 on granting license to commercial banks, foreign bank branches and representative offices of foreign credit institutions and other foreign credit institutions with banking operations in Vietnam (as revised by Circular No. 08/2015/TT-NHNN dated June 30th, 2015).
This Decision took effect from the date of signing and is an integral part of License No.2441/QĐ-NHNN issued by SBV on October 28th, 2008 granted to Vietnam Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (VietBank).
The contents related to foreign exchange activities in Point c, Point d, Item 1, Article 1 License No.2441/QĐ-NHNN dated October 28th, 2008 granted to Vietnam Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank; Certificate of Registration for foreign exchange services provision No.2249/NHNN-TTGSNH dated April 2nd, 2009; Certificate of Eligibility for foreign exchange services provision No.996/NHNN-CNH dated February 6th, 2009 and other documents on approving foreign exchange services of VietBank ceased to be effective from the date of signing this Decision.
