The communication methods of countries around the world also mainly target young people, with the use of the modern media, focusing on the messages that are easy to remember, easy to understand, and easy to follow; and from these young people, the communication messages will be disseminated and spread to the general community, creating a good financial community.
In Vietnam, the Prime Minister has issued Decision No. 149/QD-TTg dated January 22, 2020 approving the National Strategy for Financial Inclusion to 2025, with orientations to 2030; in which, an important component is improving the people’s financial literacy, aimed at changing their awareness and behaviors, and creating good financial habits in the community. With this goal, over the past years, the SBV has focused a lot of efforts on the financial education programs (such as “Smart money”, the contest on “Correct understanding of money”, etc.). Through this program, the Organizers hoped that young people would be equipped with necessary knowledge and skills, as well as develop other qualities, such as compassion, a sense of sharing, and a desire for rising up in the society.
In the coming time, the SBV Communication Department would continue to implement more financial education programs in order to disseminate more widely the National Strategy for Financial Inclusion, especially among young people. The SBV would also transfer more communication products to the digital applications, modern technology platforms, etc. in order to disseminate more widely the knowledge and skills on smart finance, therefore reducing the risks for and protecting customers when using financial services in Vietnam.
