The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) and The Bank of Korea (BOK) co-organized a kick-off seminar in the framework of the Knowledge Partnership Program themed “Development of key monitoring indicators and information system for foreign exchange and foreign currency liquidity: experience and recommendation from Korea’s perspective” on June 21, 2017 at the SBV headquarters.

The seminar was attended by representatives from SBV departments including International Cooperation Department, Monetary Policy Department, Monetary Forecasting and Statistics Department, Foreign Exchange management Department; and experts from BOK, Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP).
Delivering the keynote opening speech, Ms Hoang Thi Phuong Hanh, Deputy Director General of International Cooperation Department of the SBV warmly welcomed BOK Delegation led by Jaemo Lee, Deputy Director General of BOK, to work with the SBV. Ms Hoang Thi Phuong Hanh stated that, over the past time, SBV departments and the researching-group of KPP had technical exchanges on the specific demand of the SBV relating to monitoring and formulating information exchange and foreign currency liquidity.
SBV and BOK signed a Discussion Minutes to implement program of 2017
At the seminar, representatives of SBV and BOK signed a Discussion Minutes to implement the collaboration program of 2017.
Experts from BOK and SBV presented and exchanged substances relating to development of key monitoring indicators and information system for foreign exchange and foreign currency liquidity. Concurrently, they also discussed directly with beneficiaries on supporting contents under the approved theme.
