As part of the BIS Governors’ Meeting, Governor Nguyen Thi Hong chaired the Asian Consultative Council (ACC) meeting, with the participation of the BIS member central banks’ governors from the Asia-Pacific region. The ACC meeting served as an important platform for the policymakers to exchange updates on the regional macroeconomic and financial developments, discuss the emerging trends, and share their perspectives on the issues of common interest in the context of an ever-changing global environment.
The SBV delegation also participated in the Emerging Markets Governors’ Meeting, the Global Economy Meeting, and the BIS All Governors’ Meeting. Those were the major forums for the central banks’ governors and representatives to exchange their insights on the latest global economic and financial developments. The meetings also offered opportunities for the parties to share their experience, enhance the cooperation, and discuss the trends shaping the central banking operations in the coming period.
On the sidelines of the event, on September 9, 2025, the SBV delegation held a bilateral meeting with Ms. Helene Budliger Artieda, State Secretary and Director of the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). The discussions focused on the bilateral economic and financial cooperation, the technical assistance programs, and the priority cooperation areas between the SBV and SECO in the years ahead.
