The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) announces two long bank holidays in 2018. Accordingly, the SBV will be closed on the following dates in 2018: February 14th to February 20th for the Lunar New Year of the Dog; and from September 1st to September 3rd for the National Day.

These long bank holidays are set in accordance with the Prime Minister’s approval of the proposal submitted by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) with regard to the public holidays in 2018.
Credit institutions will make their own working arrangements on these long holidays and shall report to the SBV functional departments for promptly dealing with any arising issues in case of need.
Other holidays are set in line with the Labour Code. Specifically, in 2018 the SBV will be closed on January 1st for the New Year’s Day; April 25th for the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day; April 30th to May 1st for the Reunification Day and the International Workers’ Day.
