After the Debate Session on the afternoon of November 9, 2020, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly (NA) convened a meeting on personnel matters, in which the members of the NA Standing Committee discussed to adopt the Government's appointment proposal for the position of Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), as a replacement to Governor Le Minh Hung.
In the Government’s proposal, SBV Deputy Governor Nguyen Thi Hong is introduced to take the position of Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam for the NA's approval.
According to the agenda, on November 11, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc will submit the Government's proposal on relief of Mr. Chu Ngoc Anh from the position of Minister of Science and Technology, and Mr. Le Minh Hung from the position of SBV Governor for the National Assembly's approval.
On November 12, 2020, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc is expected to present the Government's proposal for the appointment of new Government members for the National Assembly's approval.
Previously, on October 20, 2020, the Politburo announced the decision on assigning Mr. Le Minh Hung, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and SBV Governor, to be Chief of the Office of the Party Central Committee.
