On January 17, 2023, in Hanoi, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) held a ceremony to announce and hand over the SBV Governor’s Appointment Decision of Deputy Director General of the SBV’s Office.
The ceremony was attended by SBV First Deputy Governor Dao Minh Tu; representatives of the Organization and Personnel Department, the Central Bank’s Party Committee; the leaders and all of the officials and staff of the SBV’s Office.
At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy Director General of the Organization and Personnel Department, announced the SBV Governor’s Decision appointing Mr. Mai The Anh as Deputy Director General of the SBV’s Office, starting from January 16, 2023. Mr. Mai The Anh was previously Head of the Administrative Reform Division under the SBV’s Office. His office tenure is five (05) years, starting from the date of appointment.

On behalf of the SBV Governor, First Deputy Governor Dao Minh Tu handed over the Appointment Decision to and congratulated Mr. Mai The Anh on his new position, which reflected the trust of the Personnel Board of the SBV’s Party Committee and the SBV’s Board of Management. The Deputy Governor asserted that Mr. Mai The Anh is an experienced officer with good professional qualifications and intensive knowledge of the banking industry. He expressed his wishes and beliefs that, on the new position, Mr. Mai The Anh, together with all of the officials and staff of the SBV’s Office, would promote the solidarity in the SBV’s Office to accomplish the assigned tasks, with special focus on ensuring the security of all information and documentation, especially confidential documents.

In his speech, Mr. Mai The Anh expressed his deep gratitude to the Personnel Board of the SBV’s Party Committee, the SBV’s Board of Management for their trust. He affirmed that he would put all his enthusiasm and intelligence into accomplishing the assigned tasks, contributing to the development of the banking sector.
