The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) issued Decisions No.880/QĐ-NHNN dated May 5, 2017 on revising the License of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) branch of Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation LTD (OCBC).
Accordingly, the SBV Governor has approved the revision of main substances including (i) To add new service to the Article III of License No.27/NH-GP dated October 31, 1996 for the KEPPEL BANK OF SINGAPORE LIMITED (which now is the Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation LTD – HCMC branch) as follows: “providing the foreign exchange business and services in the domestic and international market in line with the SBV’s regulations"; To abolish Item 2 Article III of License No.27/NH-GP dated October 31, 1996 for the KEPPEL BANK OF SINGAPORE LIMITED (which now is the Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation LTD – HCMC branch).
HCMC branch of OCBC is responsible for: Implementing the substance written in this Decision in accordance with laws on foreign exchange and relevant regulations; Accomplishing procedures stipulated in Item 3, Article 18b of Circular No.40/2011/TT-NHNN dated December 15, 2011 issued by SBV Governor on granting license and organization, performance of commercial banks, branches of foreign banks, representative offices of foreign credit institutions and other foreign organizations having banking operations in Vietnam (revised and supplemented by Circular No 08/2015/TT-NHNN) to implement the mentioned above contents of revision.
This Decision took effect from the date of signing and is an integral part of License No.27/NH-GP dated October 31, 1996 for the KEPPEL BANK OF SINGAPORE LIMITED (which now is the Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation LTD – HCMC branch).
