The Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) issued Decision No.1066/QĐ-NHNN on June 1, 2017 to allow The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. – Hochiminh City (HCMC) branch to provide additional services.
Accordingly, the SBV Governor allows The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. – HCMC branch to provide “money broker service" and add new service to Item 5 of License No. 24/NH-GP dated February 17, 1996 of the THE BANK OF TOKYO, LTD – HOCHIMINH CITY BRANCH (today is The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. – HCMC branch) granted by the SBV Governor.
The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. – HCMC branch is responsible for implementing legal procedures as stipulated in Item 3, Article 18b of Circular No.40/2011/TT-NHNN dated December 15, 2011, issued by the SBV Governor on the granting of license and organization, performance of commercial banks, branches of foreign banks, representative offices of foreign credit institutions and other foreign organizations with banking operations in Vietnam (revised and supplemented by Circular No.08/2015/TT-NHNN) to implement the above-mentioned content of revision.
This decision took effect on the date of signing and is an integral part of License No.24/NH-GP dated February 17, 1996 as issued by the SBV Governor for the THE BANK OF TOKYO, LTD – HOCHIMINH CITY BRANCH (which now is The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. – HCMC branch).
