Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) Nguyen Thi Hong had a meeting with Delegation of BNP Paribas Vietnam on June 26, 2017 at the SBV headquarters.
The meeting was attended by representatives of Banking Operation Center, Banking Supervision Agency, Foreign Exchange Management Department, and International Cooperation Department; Mr Aymar de Liedekerke Beaufort Chief Executive Officer of BNP Paribas Vietnam, Mr Chanant Charnchainarong, Managing director, Head of Global markets, South East Asia and India, and experts from BNP Paribas Vietnam.
At the meeting, Deputy Governor Nguyen Thi Hong warmly welcomed Mr Aymar de Liedekerke Beaufort and his colleagues to work with the SBV. Deputy Governor spoke highly BNP’s performance and early presence in Vietnam, thereby contributing to in the common development of Vietnam banking system over the past time. Deputy Governor Nguyen Thi Hong expressed her belief that BNP Paribas continue promoting their strength and effective business in Vietnam market and hoped that contribution and hoped that BNP Paribas would continue accompanying the development progress of Vietnam economy.
For his part, expressing his sincere thanks to Deputy Governor Nguyen Thi Hong and leaders of SBV entities for warmly welcoming BNP Delegation, Mr Aymar de Liedekerke Beaufort, CEO of BNP Paribas Vietnam recognized stable economy of Vietnam, in which, monetary policy played an important role in facilitating effective business in Vietnam market over the past time. On this occasion, CEO of BNP Paribas Vietnam invited Deputy Governor Nguyen Thi Hong to participate the annual conference of global central banks held by BNP Paribas in Japan at the end of this year.

Mr Chanant Charnchainarong, Managing director, Head of Global markets, South East Asia and India of BNP briefed Deputy Governor Nguyen Thi Hong recent movements of financial market in the regional countries as Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand…, including experience and legal framework on foreign exchange management of central banks.
