The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) issued Decision No.2266/QĐ-NHNN on October 27th, 2017 to revise License of Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV).
Accordingly, the SBV Governor approved the revision of Item 13 Point 4 of Operation License No.84/GP-NHNN dated April 23rd, 2012 granted to Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam as follows: “13a. Trading and providing foreign exchange services in the domestic and international market within the scope stipulated by the SBV; 13b. Trading and providing derivative products in terms of exchange rates, interest rates, foreign exchange, monetary and other financial assets in accordance with the written approvals of the SBV and other provisions of the law”.
BIDV is responsible for: (i) Providing the mentioned-above services in compliance with applicable laws and other relevant regulations; (ii) Implementing procedures in line with Item 3 of Article 18b of Circular No.40/2011/TT-NHNN dated December 15th, 2011 on granting license to commercial banks, foreign bank branches and representative offices of foreign credit institutions and other foreign credit institutions with banking operations in Vietnam (as revised by Circular No.08/2015/TT-NHNN dated June 30th, 2015).
This Decision took effect from the date of signing and is an integral part of Operation License No.84/GP-NHNN dated April 23rd, 2012 granted to Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV)
Certificate of Eligibility for foreign exchange services provision No.3603/NHNN-CNH dated May 20th, 2009; Certificate of Registration for foreign exchange services provision No.3602/NHNN-CNH dated May 20th, 2009; No.6754/NHNN-TTGSNH dated September 1st, 2009 and other documents on approving foreign exchange services of BIDV ceased to be effective from the date of signing this Decision.
