On November 7, 2017, Deputy Governor Nguyen Thi Hong attended Vietnam Business Summit (VBS) organized by Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) within the framework of APEC Economic Leaders’ Week 2017.
VBS was organized on the morning of November 7, 2017 with the participation of heads of government agencies, provinces, and representatives from international organizations, scholars and over 1,000 leading enterprises in Asia Pacific region and all over the world. It was an opportunity for Vietnamese provinces to promote and introduce to major business partners in the region about their local business environment, potential for economic cooperation, commerce, tourism and investment. Moreover, VBS is an occasion for domestic and foreign enterprises to meet, connect and exchange information about their projects in Vietnam and APEC members. As an important event within the framework of APEC Economic Leaders Week 2017, VBS will be honored to welcome Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc to participate and deliver key note speech.
In addition, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc participated in dialogues to answer questions from enterprises. The Prime Minister said that international institutions highly appreciated the investment environment in Vietnam due to its stabilization and flexible management of fiscal and monetary policies. Besides, the Government has been conducting measures of intensively restructuring administrative procedures in order to reduce operational cost of enterprises and lending interest rates while improving investment environment for facilitating enterprises to develop effectively. He also emphasized Vietnam committed to continue reform for further development.
During the framework of VBS, the exhibition themed “Vietnam – We Mean Business” was held to introduce provinces with their typical products and projects for investment calling as well as their diversified economic potential in agro-forestry-fisheries, industry and services. The exhibition also displayed outstanding achievements of Vietnamese economy, introduced and promoted Vietnam’s traditional products and typical products for export.
