On October 23, 2018 in Hanoi, Deputy Governor Nguyen Kim Anh of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) had a meeting with the Japanese Financial Services Agency (JFSA) delegation led by Mr. Nakajima Junichi, Vice President of the JFSA.
Also attending the meeting were representatives from the SBV International Cooperation Department, the Payment Department, the Human Resources Department, the Banking Supervision Agency. On the JFSA’s side, there were Mr. Shimoto Kosuke, Assistant; Mr. Kajiura Takenari, Secretary of the Economic Section, Embassy of Japan in Vietnam.

At the meeting, Deputy Governor Nguyen Kim Anh welcomed the JFSA delegation to visit and work with the SBV. He highly appreciated the JFSA's cooperation through the exchanges of staff, training and workshops, sharing experience in banking inspection, supervision, financial infrastructure and other areas of mutual interest. He hoped that the JFSA would continue to support the SBV with the development of an appropriate legal framework for e-KYC, Open API, cloud computing …, which are considered as a stepping stone to develop the digital platform in the banking industry. At the same time, he requested the JFSA to share their experience in developing new, modern forms of payment that can promote financial literacy.
For his part, Mr. Nakajima Junichi thanked the Deputy Governor for his hospitality. He also discussed with Deputy Governor Nguyen Kim Anh such issues as the possibility of formulating a cooperative framework for a periodical policy dialogue in the field of monetary and finance; Vietnam's needs for support in digitizing the banking sector; Vietnam - Japan Joint Initiatives, etc.
