On May 24th, 2019 at the headquarters of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), Deputy Governor Nguyen Thi Hong had a working session with the delegation of Tsinghua University, China.
Also attending the meeting, on the side of the SBV, there were representatives and leaders of the International Cooperation Department, the Monetary Policy Department, the Foreign Exchange Management Department, the Payment Department and the Banking Supervision Agency. On the side of Tsinghua University, the delegation was led by Mr. Wang Jingwei, Assistant Dean of the PBC School of Finance, Tsinghua University, China with about 30 members who are alumni of Tsinghua University and are currently senior leaders of many enterprises mainly operating in the financial sector and e-commerce, such as Baidu Company, Tencent Group, China Aircraft Leasing, (Shanghai) Financial Information Technology Services, Wanda Group, etc.
At the meeting, Deputy Governor Nguyen Thi Hong welcomed Tsinghua University delegation and leaders of the Chinese enterprises to visit and work with the SBV, and also expressed her appreciation for the interest of Chinese businesses' representatives in Vietnam’s banking industry. The SBV Deputy Governor spoke highly of the Navigation Vietnam Program co-organized by Vietnam National University and Tsinghua University. This is a forum to help Chinese businesses to learn about the business environment in Vietnam, and help connect the businesses of the two countries to further promote trade and investment cooperation relations between Vietnam and China.

The meeting with the SBV is an activity within the framework of "Navigation Vietnam Program 2019", which takes place in Vietnam from May 22-28, 2019 and is organized by Vietnam National University in collaboration with Tsinghua University, China for Chinese corporations/companies/businesses wishing to learn about the investment opportunities, the business cooperation and production development in Vietnamese market. According to Mr. Wang Jingwei, the Delegation aims to learn about the macroeconomic situation, the legal framework, the policies to attract investment and seek business opportunities in Vietnam.
