On September 12, 2019 in Hanoi, the National Banknote Printing Plant held a ceremony to announce the decisions of the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) on the appointments and mobilizations of the leaders of the National Banknote Printing Plant.
The ceremony was attended by SBV Deputy Governor Dao Minh Tu, representatives of the Central Bank Party Committee, the Organisation and Personnel Department, and the officials of the National Banknote Printing Plant.
Accordingly, the SBV Governor issued Decision No. 1869/QD-NHNN dated September 12, 2019 on the appointment of Mr. Le Thai Nam to the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Banknote Printing Plant and relinquishing his position as the Deputy Director General in charge of the Organisation and Personnel Department from the date of his new appointment of September 15, 2019. Mr. Le Thai Nam’s term of office is 5 years, starting from the date of the appointment.

In addition, the SBV Governor also issued Decision No. 1868/QD-NHNN dated September 12, 2019 assigning Mr. Nguyen Van Long - Deputy General Director of the National Banknote Printing Plant to be in charge and managing the National Banknote Printing Plant from September 15, 2019 until a new Decision is issued.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the SBV’s Party Personnel Committee and the SBV Board of Management, Deputy Governor Dao Minh Tu congratulated the two newly appointed senior leaders of the National Banknote Printing Plant. Deputy Governor Dao Minh Tu believed that, in the new positions, the newly appointed leaders would continue to strengthen their experience, knowledge and capabilities, contributing positively to the further development of the National Banknote Printing Plant in the coming time.

On behalf of the appointed officials, Mr. Le Thai Nam expressed his deep gratitude to the SBV’s Board of Management, the Central Bank Party Committee for their trust. The newly appointed Chairman affirmed that he would try his best with the highest sense of responsibility, together with the National Banknote Printing Plant’s officials and staff, to successfully accomplish the assigned tasks, contributing positively to the achievements of the entire banking system.
