The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) has issued Document No. 2904/NHNN-TT waiving all fees for transfers of donations for the fight against COVID-19 and the mitigation of drought and salinity intrusion via bank accounts.
Credit institutions and foreign bank branches waive transfer fees for donations for the fight against COVID-19 and drought, salinity intrusion via bank accounts
Specifically, in support of the appeal of Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee (VFFCC) to contribute to the fight against COVID-19 and to support those suffering from the drought and salinity intrusion in the Mekong Delta provinces, continuing to deploy the urgent tasks and solutions to remove the difficulties for production and business operations, ensuring social security to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic in accordance with Directive No. 11/CT-TTg dated March 4, 2020 and Directive No. 13/CT-TTg dated March 11, 2020 of the Prime Minister, the SBV has requested the credit institutions and the foreign bank branches to take the following action:
Waiving all fees for transfers of donations from organizations and individuals to the VFFCC’s bank account, specifically as follows:
- Bank account receiving donations for the fight against COVID-19:
+ Bank account holder: Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee
+ Bank account number: 1483201009159
+ Opened at Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) - Capital Branch
- Bank account receiving donations in support of those people suffering from the drought and salinity intrusion in the Mekong Delta provinces:
+ Bank account holder: Vietnam Fatherland Front - Central Relief Committee
+ Bank account number: 001.1.00.1932418
+ Opened at the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank)
The Document clearly states that, based on the above-mentioned instructions, the credit institutions and the foreign bank branches should disseminate the information to their customers about the scope, modality and application duration of the fee waiver policy.
In the course of implementation, if there are any difficulties and issues, the credit institutions should promptly report to the SBV (via the Payment Department) for examination and resolution.
