On October 28, 2021, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) held a ceremony to announce and hand over the SBV Governor’s Appointment Decision of General Director of the National Credit Information Centre of Vietnam (CIC).

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Kim Anh, Member of the Personnel Board of the Party Committee, SBV Deputy Governor, together with representatives of the Central Bank Party Committee, the Organization and Personnel Department, as well as the key officials of the CIC.
At the ceremony, Mr. Dang Duy Cuong, Deputy Director General of the Organization and Personnel Department, announced Decision No. 1688/QD-NHNN dated October 26, 2021 of the SBV Governor appointing Mr. Cao Van Binh as General Director of the CIC, starting from November 1, 2021. Mr. Cao Van Binh was previously Deputy General Director of the CIC. His term of office is five years, starting from the date of appointment.

The SBV Deputy Governor expressed his wishes and beliefs that with his rich experience, Mr. Cao Van Binh would continue to develop his capabilities, wisdom, and the sense of responsibility to accomplish the assigned tasks in the new position; and is would particularly continue to make efforts to improve his ethical qualities, administration and governance performance, as well as professional capacity, in order to work with the other officers and staff of the CIC to develop the Center into a unit with a unique identity and working culture, becoming a home for every officer and staff member, providing high quality services to the banking industry and the society in line with the State management requirements and the guidance of the SBV’s Board of Management. In addition, the SBV Deputy Governor also required the CIC to not only provide information as requested by the SBV functional units, but also develop analytical products and in-depth reports based on the available data, in order to better counsel the SBV’s Board of Management.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Cao Van Binh expressed his deep gratitude to the Central Bank Party Committee, the SBV’s Board of Management and the CIC officers and staff for their trust. He affirmed that he would do his best, with the utmost capacity and enthusiasm, to promote the unitty within the CIC, and dedicate his best efforts to the Center's development, contributing to the development of the SBV and the banking sector, enhancing the position and the role of the CIC both domestically and internationally.
