On March 14, 2022, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) issued Decision No. 357/QD-NHNN revising the License for the establishment of a foreign bank branch issued to Cathay United Bank – Chu Lai Branch.
Accordingly, the SBV Governor has approved of the revision of the branch name and the office address as written in Paragraph 1 and Paragraph 2 of Article 1 of the License for the establishment of a foreign bank branch No. 107/GP-NHNN dated November 01, 2018 issued by the SBV Governor to Cathay United Bank – Chu Lai Branch, to read as follows:
“1. Branch name:
Full name in Vietnamese: Ngân hàng Cathay United Bank – Chi nhánh Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh; Full name in English: Cathay United Bank – Ho Chi Minh City Branch; Abbreviated name: CUBHCM.
2. Office address: Floor 19 Lim Tower 3 Building, No. 29A Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Da Kao Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.”
Cathay United Bank – Chu Lai Branch is requested to take the responsibilities for:
Ensuring that the new office meets all of the conditions as required in Paragraph 3 of Article 23 of Circular No. 40/2011/TT-NHNN dated December 15, 2011 issued by the SBV Governor on the licensing, organization and operation of commercial banks, foreign bank branches, representative offices of foreign credit institutions, other foreign organizations with banking operations in Vietnam (as amended and supplemented).
Carrying out the registration procedures, publicizing the change of its office address and branch name as prescribed for in Paragraph 4 of Article 29 of the Law on Credit institutions No. 47/2010/QH12 dated June 16, 2010 (as amended and supplemented).
This Decision took effect from the date of signing and is an integral part of the License for the establishment of a foreign bank branch No. 107/GP-NHNN dated November 01, 2018 issued by the SBV Governor to Cathay United Bank – Chu Lai Branch.
