Deputy Governor Nguyen Kim Anh of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) had a meeting with Mr. Hosomizo Kiyoshi, Commissioner of Financial Services Agency of the Japanese Government (FSA), in Hanoi on May 13.
At the meeting, Deputy Governor Nguyen Kim Anh highly appreciated the cooperative relation between Vietnam and Japan in various fields, especially in the banking sector over the past time. He asserted that Japan is one of the largest strategic partners of Vietnam. Moreover, he expressed his sincere thanks to the FSA for close cooperation and support for the SBV and the banking industry in Vietnam. He hoped that in the coming time, the SBV and the Financial Services Agency will promote information exchange for effective co-operation.
For his part, Mr. Hosomizo Kiyoshi expressed his sincere thanks to Deputy Governor Nguyen Kim Anh for his warm hospitality. He committed that the Financial Services Agency would continue to support and be willing to share experience with the SBV in the process of development and modernization.
Regarding the directions and plans on cooperation, the two agencies will develop plans for each phase of cooperation as a basis for conducting specific activities which are suitable for the needs and capabilities of the two sides as well as the strategy for development in the financial sector in the two countries.
