Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) Nguyen Van Binh received International Monetary Fund (IMF) Resident Representative for Vietnam Sanjay Kalra, who is about to finish his official tenure in Vietnam, and newly-accredited Resident Representative Jonathan Dunn, on July 29 in Hanoi.
At the reception, Governor Nguyen Van Binh congratulated Mr. Sanjay Kalra on his successful term in Vietnam since October 2011 and spoke highly of Mr.Kalra’s role in bridging Vietnam and the IMF and bolstering the relationship during his four-year tenure. The Governor also expressed his gratitude towards IMF and Mr. Sanjaay Kalra for his support for the policy orientation of the SBV as well as valuable and useful assistance and consultancy
The State President presented Mr. Sanjay Lalra with Vietnam’s Friendship Order for his exceptional contributions in Vietnam. Governor Nguyen Van Binh presented him with Order of Merit for his contribution to the Cause of Banking Sector Development.
The SBV governor also congratulated Mr. Jonathan Dunn on his newly appointment and hoped that he will take up the role of building up the relationship between the IMF and the SBV, and counselling the policy making and supporting for the SBV in the coming time.
