The General Statistics Office of Vietnam (GSO) has announced that the consumer price index (CPI) increases by 0.13% in July against the previous month, by 0.68% as compared to that of December 2013, and increases by YoY of 0,9%.

Specifically, the price of ten groups of commodities out of eleven groups of commodities increases. The price of the group of garment, footwear and headwear registers the highest increase of 0.25% in comparison with the previous month. The price of the group of housing and construction materials rises by 0.24%. The price of the groups of beverage and cigarette; transport; culture, entertainment and tourism increases by 0.18%, 0.16% and 0.16% respectively. The price of the group of food and catering services slightly increases by 0.1% ( of which, the price of food decreases by 0.38%).
The price of the group postal services decreases by 0.02%.
The gold price is down by 1.24%; and VND depreciates by 0.09% against the US dollar.
