Deputy Governor Nguyen Kim Anh of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) had a meeting with Mr. Philippe Garsuault, General Director of BPCE International et Outre-Mer (BPCE IOM) and Mr. Nicolas Du Pasquier, Director of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) branch of BPCE IOM, in Hanoi on September 25.
At the meeting, Deputy Governor Nguyen Kim Anh appreciated that HCMC branch of BPCE IOM has operated stably in compliance with Vietnamese laws and SBV regulations, contributing to the development of the banking sector and socio –economy in Vietnam. He asserted that Vietnamese Government and the SBV always welcome and facilitate for BPCE IOM and foreign banks to operate effectively in Vietnam. At the same time, he hoped that BPCE IOM in Vietnam continued to well comply with Vietnamese laws and the SBV regulations in order to obtain more encouraging results.
For his part, General Director Philippe Garsuault of BPCE IOM congratulated on achievements that Vietnam had obtained in the socio-economic development over the past time, and expressed his sincere thanks to Vietnamese Government and the SBV for supporting operations of BPCE IOM in Vietnam. He also stated that BPCE IOM always considered Vietnam as a partner and potential market, and expressed his hope for long –term cooperation and participation in several priority fields in Vietnam. Moreover, he exchanged his views with the host on several substances related to development strategy of BPCE for BPCE IOM branches in Vietnam in the future.
