Seminar on VNBA’s role in implementing monetary policy and supporting credit institutions

 

 

The seminar was attended by the SBV Deputy Governor Nguyen Kim Anh, Deputy Chairman of the National financial supervisory commission Ha Huy Tuan, representatives and attendants of the ministries, WB group, commercial banks, Chairman of VNBA cum Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietcombank Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh and General Secretary of VNBA Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh.

 

Speaking at the seminar, Deputy Governor Nguyen Kim Anh highly appreciated the Banking Association’s idea of organizing the seminar. He asserted that, the SBV acknowledged the role of Banking Association as an important unit in actively supporting the SBV to conduct the central bank functions and the state management of monetary sector and banking operations. Therefore the SBV always facilitates the Banking Association’s performance and supports it to fulfill its functions effectively. The Deputy Governor asked VNBA to continue enhancing the role in linking its members and the linkage between the members with the state management agencies.

 

At the seminar, the speakers had presented several key notes such as: “Improving VNBA’s role in international economic integration situation” delivered by Deputy Chairman of the National financial supervisory commission Ha Huy Tuan’’; “Role of Banking Association in formulating and implementing legal regulations to guide the implementation of the Civil law and The Civil Procedure Code in banking sector” by Deputy Director of Department of Civil and administrative laws of Ministry of Justice Nguyen Hong Hai; “Enhancing the role of Vietnam Bank card association in international economic integration” by Deputy General Director of Vietcombank Dao Minh Tuan.
