According to the General Statistics Office of Vietnam (GSO), the consumer price index (CPI) slightly increases by 0.07% in November against the previous month, and by 0.58% as compared to that of December, 2014.
Specifically, the price of nine groups of commodities out of eleven groups of commodities slightly increases. The price of the group of housing and construction materials registers the highest increase of 0.32%. The price of the groups of family equipment and appliances; beverage and cigarette; garments, textiles, hats and footwear; culture, entertainment and tourism; other commodities and services; education; and medicine and health services increases by 0.19%, 0.16%, 0.14%, 0.07%, 0.07%, 0.06% and 0.05% respectively. The price of the group of food and catering services increases by 0.05% as compared to that of October, 2015.
The price of the groups of postal services and transport declines by 0.1% and 0.38% respectively.
The gold price is down by 0.61%; and VND appreciates by 0.31% against the US dollar.
