SBV Deputy Governor Dao Minh Tu had a meeting with President Hiroyuki Ujikane of Japan National Printing Bureau in Ha Noi on March 03.
Attending the meeting were Mr. Mori Mutsuya, Chief Representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to Vietnam and representatives of the SBV’s Issue and Vault Department, Vietnam National Banknote Printing Plant.
At the meeting, SBV Deputy Governor Dao Minh Tu warmly welcome the Delegation led by President Hiroyuki Ujikane to visit the SBV. The Deputy Governor highly appreciated the closely cooperative relation between Vietnam and Japan in general and between the SBV and the Japan National Printing Bureau in particular. He expressed the SBV’s sincere thanks to Japan National Printing Bureau for its valuable support in various sectors, including banknote printing. The Deputy Governor also highly appreciated the JICA’s support for the SBV over the past time in the most important fields of the SBV performance like human resource development, monetary policy formulation and implementation, supervision, vault and banknote issuance... He stated that the SBV hope for more close partnership and cooperation among the SBV, the JICA and Japan Printing Bureau in the process of implementation of the Project “National Banknote Printing Plant”.
For his part, Mr. Hiroyuki Ujikane highly appreciated the development achievements Vietnam obtained over the last years. He asserted that the relationship between the SBV and Japan National Printing Bureau has been more and more promoted and obtained several fruitful results. He strongly believed that the demand of high quality banknote is increasing in Vietnam, and the Japan National Printing Bureau will be always an accompanying fellow to support and exchange with the SBV Vietnam the experiences of banknote printing and issuance, and setting up a new National Banknote Printing Plant.
