The State Bank of Vietnam organized an award ceremony of the medal for the contribution to development of banking sector to Mr Mutsuya Mori, Japan International Co-operation (JICA) Chief Representative in Vietnam, on March 21st, 2016 at the SBV’s headquarter. SBV Deputy Governor Nguyen Thi Hong attended the ceremony and presented Commemorative Medal to Mr Mutsuya Mori.
On behalf of SBV’s Governor, Deputy Governor Nguyen Thi Hong appreciated Mr Mutsuya Mori’s outstanding contribution to the development of Vietnam– Japan relationship in particular and economy of the two countries in general. Especially, she spoke highly his contribution as JICA Chief Representative for banking sector development. She wished Mori to be more successful in his new position of Head of JICA Treasury Department in Japan and hope SBV will have more chance to collaborate with him in coming time.
Mr Mutsuya Mori expressed his gratitude to SBV’s cooperation
Speaking at the Ceremony, Mr Mutsuya Mori expressed his gratitude to the SBV Management Board and his honor and pride to experience his tenure in Vietnam. He hopes that JICA office in VN will proactively cooperate to the SBV with implement programs and projects of the JICA in order to support SBV in particular and Vietnam in general. For the coming time, Mutsuya Mori affirmed to continue maintaining, broadening and developing cooperation relationship between the two countries.
At the same day, SBV Deputy Governor Nguyen Thi Hong had a meeting with Mr Mutsuya Mori and Mr Yasou Fujita, who is Mr Mori’s successor to be JICA Chief Representative in VN.

Deputy Governor Nguyen Thi Hong congratulated Mr Yasou Fujita on being appointed as JICA Chief Representative in Vietnam. She expressed her hope that Mr Yasou Fujita would continue contributing effectively to develop the relationship between Vietnam and Japan as well as between the SBV and the JICA.
