Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) Nguyen Kim Anh had a working session with Delegation of Visa led by Mr Demetrios Marantis, Senior Vice President, Global Government Relations on April 1st, 2016 at the SBV’s headquarter.
The meeting was attended by Ms Penny Burtt, Vice President of Government Affairs in the region of Asia Pacific and Head of SBV’s entities.
At the meeting, SBV Deputy Governor Nguyen Kim Anh welcomed Visa Delegation and expressed his belief that visa senior officer delegation’s visit would contribute to develop the comprehensive relationship between SBV and Visa in the coming time. The Deputy Governor highly appreciated Visa’s support and contribution to the development of Vietnam payment system.
Mr Demetrios Marantis, Senior Vice President, Visa Global Government Relations expressed his gratitude for SBV’s support and cooperation with Visa office in Vietnam over the past time. Visa committed to accelerate its coordination with partner banks in Vietnam for the aim of promoting card issuance and payment.
Visa is an multinational financial services corporation, connecting consumers, bussiness, credit institutions and Goverments, facilitating electronic funds transfers throughout more than 200 countries and terrories, most commonly through Visa-branded credit cards and debit cards. This network has a peak capacity of around 56,000 transactions per second, including anti-fraud applications and guaranteed payment.
