Issuance Decision on management of granting and selling commemorative banknote

Accordingly, the Decision guides the authorities on approval, the management of granting and selling commermorative banknote of SBV entities in order to enhance efficiency, safety and convenience in operations of granting and selling commermorative banknote.

The delivery, receipt, storage, transportation, grant, and sale of commemorative banknote and other related contents must be conducted in compliance with Decision No. 40/2012/QD-TTg dated May 12th, 2012 of the Prime Minister on management of sample banknote and commemorative banknote.

SBV Governor is authorized to approve the price of commemorative banknote; amount of granting, and the sale of commemorative banknote to domestic and foreign organizations and individuals. In each period, the SBV Governor assigns Issue and Vault Department and SBV entities to implement commemorative banknote grant and sales.

For commemorative banknote grant, Issue and Vault Department submits SBV Governor to approve sale plan of commemorative banknote. The SBV entities, who are in need of commemorative banknote for international missions and diplomatic activities, shall have to send request to the Issue and Vault Department. SBV Governor approves quantity of to be issued commermorative banknote.

For selling commemorative banknote, the SBV Governor approves the procedures of selling commemorative banknote in each period and assigns Issue and Vault Department to implement sale plan.
