Governor Le Minh Hung of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) had a meeting with Mr. Yasuo Fujita, Chief Representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to Vietnam, in Hanoi on June 7.
SBV Governor expressed his gratitude for the wholehearted assistance and support of Japanese Government and People to the cause of construction and development in Vietnam. In addition, the Governor highly appreciated the useful and timely support of the JICA for the SBV in the past years. He affirmed the JICA reliable partnership with Vietnam Government in general and the SBV in particular in several sectors from human resource development, policy planning for the SBV to restructure of banking system, NPL resolution and enhancement of banking supervision and inspection. He strongly believed that JICA assistance projects would obtain more positive achievements and hoped for further supports from the JICA and personally Mr. Yasuo Fujita to successfully implement these projects.
JICA Chief Representative Mr.Yasuo Fujita was very happy to witness the fruitful cooperation between the JICA and the SBV and the achievements of JICA technical assistance projects. The JICA also actively supports SBV to continue to implement Credit for SMEs and will extent credit granting for agriculture value chain of Lam Dong province to increase the possibility of getting credit access for enterprises and households to improve quality and value of agricultural products of Lam Dong province.
At the meeting, the two sides also exchanged information on ongoing cooperative activities and discussed plan for future collaboration.
