The Delegation of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) and Ministry of Finance led by the SBV Deputy Governor Dao Minh Tu had a study tour on development assistance for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs); banking restructure and bad debt resolution in Spain from July 25 to 27, 2016.
In the framework of the working visit, the Delegation attended a meeting with the Bank of Spain, Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness and several leading commercial banks in Spain.
On July 28, 2016, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Spain Fernando Restoy had a meeting with SBV Deputy Governor Dao Minh Tu and Delegation. He expressed his pleasure to welcome Vietnam Delegation and hope to establish and enhance the cooperative relationship in banking and financial sector of Vietnam and Spain.
At the meeting, the Spanish counterpart shared their experience on policies, regulations on operations of banking inspection and supervision, legal framework formulation and practical experience of bad debts resolution, restructuring the banking system.
The two sides planned to establish the cooperative regime between the two central banks to facilitate the exchange experience and the implementation of specific cooperation activities in the coming time, as well as exchanging several issues related to Vietnam market that the commercial banks and enterprises are interested in.
