Logo for the 70th Anniversary of Vietnam Banking Sector: Unique and carrying the message of the Sector
The 70th Anniversary Logo of Vietnam Banking Sector has been designed and stylized from the image of a typical Vietnamese ancient coin, illustrating the interference and harmony between heaven and earth, yin and yang.

Especially, the coin is connected with a stylized number 7, with the point attracting eyes coming from the center of the coin, representing the lifeblood of the economy. Additionally, this image also represents a rising sun, bringing life to a new day. Inside, the bottom of the coin is cleverly integrated with the royal pattern of the Ly - Tran dynasties, showing the culture of traditions and inheritance of the banking industry. Moreover, the Logo also uses the image of a Lotus flower, the national flower of Vietnam, the symbol of culture, the essence of the Vietnamese people, to make the logo milder and more attractive.
The phrase “VIETNAM BANKING'' and the historical time marking the establishment of the National Bank of Vietnam, which are placed beneath the number 7, extending to the end of the outer circle of the coin, creating a solid and firm foundation for the whole Logo.
The colors of the Logo were inspired by a combination of the bright red color of the sun and the ocean blue color, plus a little brown color from the SBV logo. This color combination has created a well-balanced harmony. When standing side by side on publications, the color interactions between the two logos will not be contradicted. On the contrary, they interact and complement each other visually, increasing the feeling of dynamism, fitness and energy.

When the Logo is placed on the visual products such as banners, backdrops, standees, etc., it makes the whole product look like a banknote linking past and present. The security pattern on the banknote is drawn with thin lines and is blurred to create an additional layer that connects the background of the SBV headquarters (re-drawn in the brushed form of the 65th Anniversary commemorative banknote). The background behind the Logo is decorated with five-pointed stars standing next to one other (re-drawn from the 5-dime coin), bearing the symbol of glory and brilliance. The bottom layer is a light orange color used to mediate the connection between the different colors. The border is applied with a light transition brush between the red and blue colors of the Logo to keep the overall layout stable.

2021 is the year marking the 70th anniversary of the establishment and development of Vietnam Banking Sector. Throughout the past 70 years, the banking industry has affirmed its position in the construction and development of the country, ensuring the national monetary security.

To spread the message and meaning of the Logo for the 70th Anniversary of Vietnam Banking Sector, this Logo will be used widely in the Vietnamese banking industry in 2021.
