SBV announces Appointment Decisions of key positions at OceanBank

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy Director General of the Organization and Personnel Department of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV); Mr. Le Duy Hai, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank); members of the Board of Members, the Supervisory Board, the Board of Management, and other key officials of OceanBank.

At the ceremony, the representative of the SBV announced the Decisions of the SBV Governor appointing a number of key positions at OceanBank, specifically as follows:

Mr. Do Thanh Son, the incumbent Chairman of the Board of Members of OceanBank, shall end his tenure to assume new responsibilities at VietinBank.

Mr. Ngo Anh Tuan, Member of the Board of Members cum General Director of OceanBank, is appointed as Chairman of the Board of Members of OceanBank;

Mr. Tran Trung Dzung, Deputy General Director of OceanBank, is assigned to be in charge of the Board of Management of OceanBank;

Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy Director General of the SBV’s Organization and Personnel Department, congratulates the new leaders of OceanBank.

Under the authorization of the SBV Governor, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy Director General of the SBV’s Organization and Personnel Department, handed over the Appointment Decisions to and congratulated Mr. Ngo Anh Tuan and Mr. Tran Trung Dzung on their new appointments, which reflected the trust of the Personnel Board of the SBV’s Party Committee as well as the SBV’s Board of Management for their political qualities, competencies and senses of responsibilities in having successfully fulfilled their assigned tasks, especially during the restructuring of OceanBank over the past 8 years. Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan expressed his wishes that, on the new positions, they would continue to promote their capacity, qualities and experience, contribute to the internal solidarity, together with all of the officers and staff of OceanBank to accomplish the assigned tasks, implement successfully the Scheme on the restructuring of OceanBank.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Do Thanh Son, former Chairman of the Board of Members of OceanBank, thanked all of the leadership, officers and staff of OceanBank for having upheld the sense of solidarity and put their best efforts into overcoming a difficult period of OceanBank, having basically accomplished the tasks assigned by the Government and the SBV. He expressed his wishes that, the new leadership of OceanBank would continue to put their efforts and their hearts into the successful realization of the restructuring objectives, and the improvement of the working conditions and the living standards of all OceanBank’s officers and staff.

Also at the ceremony, Mr. Ngo Anh Tuan, the new Chairman of OceanBank’s Board of Members, expressed his deep gratitude to the Personnel Board of the SBV’s Party Committee and the SBV’s Board of Management for their trust. He considered it both an honor but also a great responsibility. He committed to continue to put his best efforts, together with the leadership, the officers and staff of OceanBank, to promote the strengths and solidarity of OceanBank; accomplish the assigned tasks; continue to develop the bank toward stability; build a solid foundation; and prepare for OceanBank to move to a new stage of development.
