On August 1, 2023, in Hanoi, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) organized a ceremony to announce and hand over the SBV Governor’s Appointment and Re-appointment Decisions of senior personnel at Vietnam Asset Management Company (VAMC).
SBV Deputy Governor Pham Tien Dzung hands over the SBV Governor’s Appointment Decision to Mr. Bui Quang Trung
The ceremony was attended by SBV Deputy Governor Pham Tien Dzung, representatives from the Human Resource Department, and the key officials from VAMC.
At the ceremony, Mr. Dang Duy Cuong, Deputy Director General of the Human Resource Department, announced the SBV Governor’s Appointment and Re-appointment Decisions of senior personnel at VAMC, specifically as follows:
Decision No. 1418/QD-NHNN receiving and appointing Mr. Bui Quang Trung as Member of the Supervisory Board of VAMC, starting from August 1, 2023. Mr. Bui Quang Trung was previously a representative and advisor at the ADB Office of Executive Director in Manila, the Philippines for a three-year term. His term of office is five (5) years, starting from the August 1, 2023.
Decision No. 1422/QD-NHNN dated July 23, 2023 re-appointing Mr. Le Quang Chau as Member of the Board of Members of VAMC for a term of five (5) years, starting from the date of re-appointment.
Decision No. 1423/QD-NHNN dated July 23, 2023 re-appointing Mr. Dang Dinh Thich as Deputy General Director of VAMC for a term of five (5) years, starting from the date of re-appointment.

On behalf of the SBV Board of Management, Deputy Governor Pham Tien Dzung handed over the Decisions to and congratulated Mr. Bui Quang Trung, Mr. Le Quang Chau, and Mr. Dang Dinh Thich on their appointment and re-appointments.
The Deputy Governor expressed his wishes and beliefs that, Mr. Bui Quang Trung, Mr. Le Quang Chau, and Mr. Dang Dinh Thich would continue to promote their qualifications and capacity, together with all of the officials and staff of VAMC, in order to accomplish the assigned tasks, contributing to the safe and strong development of VAMC.
On behalf of the re-appointed officials, Mr. Le Quang Chau expressed his deep gratitude to the Personnel Board of the SBV’s Party Committee, the SBV’s Board of Management, the Central Bank Party Committee, the SBV entities, etc., as well as the Party Committee and the Board of Members of VAMC for their trust and promised to do his best to contribute to the development of VAMC.
